Owen Feeney is the Head Certified Athletic Therapist and owner of Owen Feeney Athletic Therapy.
His clinic is in Bray, Co. Wicklow, where he provides both one on one consultation and rehabilitation based session and group-based injury prevention training. Owen is a named author on the study Fundamental Skill Proficiency in Juvenile Gaelic Games. Owen is occasionally mistaken for a Physiotherapist, however, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Therapy and Training from Dublin City University (DCU). He is also a Certified Athletic Therapist and Public Relations Officer for Athletic Rehabilitation Therapy Ireland (ARTI) who are the governing body for Certified Athletic Therapists (CAT’s) in Ireland. Owen provides in-house, pitch-side, event support and rehabilitation. Experience in dealing with a wide range of teams and groups with sports and events including Rugby, GAA, American Football, Soccer, Field Hockey, Individual Athletes such as athletics, Boxing and Ironman 70.3 and Dublin City Marathon. He also deals with post-op patients as well as dealing with a large number of patients who’s injuries occurred from outside of sport in everyday life. Owen is also the head Athletic Therapist for Festimed, who provide medical event cover for Dublin Marathon Race Series, GAA World Games and Isle of Wight festival.
